Privacy Policy

Who we are. This site is run by Not Another Nerd, LLC ("NAN," "we"). You can reach us at herman@notanothernerd.com.

What we collect

  • Contact and project forms: the details you enter, such as your name, email address, company and a description of your project or question.
  • Talent network: your name, email address, location, the roles you are interested in, your level, your availability (hours per week and earliest start), links you choose to share, a short note, and a record of when you gave consent.
  • Automatic information: basic, aggregated visit statistics, and technical data such as your IP address, which our hosting provider processes to keep the site secure and prevent abuse.

Please do not send sensitive information through our forms, such as government ID numbers, health information or financial account numbers.

How we use it

  • To reply to your message and scope a possible project.
  • To contact you about opportunities that may fit, if you joined our talent network.
  • To keep the site secure, prevent spam, and meet legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

Who handles it for us. We use service providers to run the site: Cloudflare (hosting, security, analytics and our database) and Resend (email delivery), plus our email provider. They process data only to provide those services.

Copies in email. Messages you send through our contact and project forms are emailed to us, so a copy sits in our email provider and in Resend's delivery log. When you join the talent network, we email ourselves only a short notice with your name, the roles you chose and your level. Your full entry stays in our database and is not sent by email.

How long we keep it. We delete talent network submissions 12 months after we receive them, unless we are in an active conversation with you. If you submit the talent network form again with the same email address, we update your existing entry instead of creating a new one, and the 12 months start again from that submission. We keep contact and project messages as long as needed to handle your request and keep ordinary business records.

Your choices. You can ask us to show you, correct, export or delete the information we hold about you, and you can leave the talent network at any time, by emailing herman@notanothernerd.com. We will respond within a reasonable time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law.

Cookies. This site does not use advertising cookies. Our analytics are designed to work without them.

Security. We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Children. This site is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes. If we change this policy, we will update the effective date above.
